NPO ASrid established two committees that strictly reviewed ethical considerations in medical research involving human subjects.

Ethics Review Committee

We must conduct medical research involving human subjects under the intent of the Declaration of Helsinki and in compliance with the Ethical Guidelines for Life Science and Medical Research Involving Human Subjects (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry), Ethical Guidelines for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), and Ethical Guidelines for Human Genome/Gene Analysis Research (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare). Ethical Guidelines for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), and Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI)).

Conflict of Interest Management Committee

ASrid appropriately manages conflicts of interest that may arise daily in the course of the research activities of its members. By doing so, ASrid aims to prevent adverse effects caused by conflicts of interest (e.g., the introduction of bias into the research results of publicly funded research) and to promote sound research activities. In addition, conflict of Interest Management is also implemented to enable members to engage in research activities with peace of mind.
