Students from the RDD High School program organized and hosted a public lecture at the 24th Conference on CRC and Clinical Trials. The RDD Japan office supported this initiative.
At the conference, held in Sapporo, students from Sakata Nishi High School, one of the RDD host schools, organized and conducted a public lecture titled "Co-Creation with Society Through the Lens of Rare and Intractable Diseases—Imagining, Creating, and Building Together Towards Happiness." The students not only planned the lecture's content but also managed the event on the day.
The public lecture was based on the idea that healthcare is not solely the domain of healthcare professionals but something open to society. The goal was to engage participants in thinking about the lives of patients (imagine), developing new ideas for solutions (create), and working together to build those solutions (build together).
The RDD Japan office will also continue supporting high school students activities in RDD 2025.
